Site work and paving for a road / highway in Azalea Park, Florida. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project will enhance safety and operations at the intersection of State Road (SR) 551 (Goldenrod Road) and State Road (SR) 552 (Curry Ford Road) in Orange County. The scope includes rebuilding the existing traffic signal with new mast arm poles, upgrading pedestrian signals to support a Leading Pedestrian Interval and “No Turn on Red” blank-out signs, shortening pedestrian crossing distances through upgraded crosswalks, and reconstructing sidewalk curb ramps. Additional work includes adding a second northbound left-turn lane on Goldenrod Road, extending the southbound left-turn lane, upgrading raised islands between right-turn and through lanes, and raising crosswalks within right-turn lanes to improve pedestrian visibility and mobility.
