Base Bid Package B includes the installation of approximately 24,537 linear feet of new 14-inch sanitary sewer force main from the same origination point and extending to the City of Dayton's existing Wastewater Treatment Plant at the end of Sunset Heights Avenue, including all necessary valves, fittings, connections, and appurtenances for a complete installation in accordance with the contract documents. Base Bid Package C includes the installation of approximately 3,075 linear feet of new 16-inch waterline beginning at an existing 12-inch waterline in the vicinity of the City of Dayton Wastewater Treatment Plant located at the end of Sunset Heights Avenue, and the abandonment in place of an existing 8-inch water line, including all necessary valves, fittings, connections, and appurtenances for a complete installation in accordance with the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check in an amount not less than two percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the contract documents, execute the bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates and bonds within seven days after the date contract documents are received by the successful bidder. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the original must be delivered at the bid opening address within one business day of receipt of the bid opening. Bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened.
