the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Environmental Services is requesting competitive sealed bids to perform work on a project known as Heeia Wastewater Pump Station Improvements. Estimated Cost: $9,800,000.00. The work/delivery is to be performed on Oahu. This Project addresses various improvements at the Heeia Wastewater Pump Station ("WWPS"). Construction improvements to be performed under this Project includes the following major items of work: The key work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to: A. Construction of acoustically treated Engine Generator Room to house engine generator, automatic transfer switch and appurtenances. B. Construction of Flow Tube Room to house flow meter, surge relief valve, discharge pressure transmitter, sump pump and water flush system. C. Construction on Entrance Room to access pump station. D. Replacement and reconfiguration of existing wastewater pumps, piping, valves and appurtenances using City-furnished pumps. E. Rehabilitation of wet well and entrance chamber including surface preparation and application of epoxy lining system on interior and replacement of access hatches and covers. F. Relocation of pump station site entrance and reconfiguration of parking pavement area including repaving, resurfacing, grade adjustment walls, sidewalks and concrete curbs. G. Replacement of underground fuel storage tank with a larger tank. H. Upgrade of the ventilation system to comply with National Fire Protection Association ("NFPA") 820 standards, including replacement of louvers and sealing of windows and openings. I. Replacement of roofing for existing pump station building and structural repairs to walls and sealing of wall openings. J. Interior lighting upgrades. K. Interior and exterior painting. L. New eyewash station. M. Replacement of sewage bypass connection. N. Waterline replacement and relocation. O. Electrical and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition ("SCADA") improvements including transformer, motor control center, wiring and control panels.
