This project involves work assignments for the installation of new highway signs and the modification and/or removal of existing highway signs on interstate, state and local roads statewide. Assignments may include New Sign Installations - Ground Mounted (Extruded Aluminum/Sheet Aluminum) on Wood Supports, Steel Beam Supports, or Tubular Steel Supports, Banding of signs to new or existing supports, New Sign Installations (Extruded Aluminum) on new or existing Overhead Structures and/or Cantilever Structures, Sign Lighting Maintenance systems, Modification and Removal of Existing Highway Signs and/or Structures, Placing W - Beam Traffic Barrier and Associated End Treatments and New Pavement Markings, Preformed Symbols & Legends within District 6 and 7. Classification: E - 2,500,001 to $5,000,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
