Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Cortland, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a eight-story above grade educational facility.

The project consists of removal of the existing roofing systems on the SUNY Cortland Clark Hall building, 8 stories above ground level, including reroofing the penthouse. Work includes the removal of existing coping and lightning protection. Reroofing will include new tapered insulation, vapor barrier, wood blocking, ballasted guard rail system, and new lightning protection system. Temporary support must be provided for existing mechanical equipment and piping located on the roof. Drawings indicate requirements for a coordinated effort with a future project for mechanical upgrades. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five percent of the Total Bid. Bidders are expected to cooperate with the policy to encourage minority business enterprise participation. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
