The selected Subcontractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment for Work Zone Traffic Control for the period from 2026-2028 at various bridge inspection sites in NYSDOT Region 2, covering the counties of Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, and Oneida. The Work Zone Traffic Control will support JMT and NYSDOT personnel, or their authorized designees, during bridge inspections. The Subcontractor must have at least five years of documented experience in Work Zone Traffic Control. All personnel must hold current certification necessary to perform the work and communicate effectively. The Subcontractor is solely responsible for providing all required materials and equipment, which must comply with New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and other applicable NYSDOT guidelines and directives. The majority of the work will occur between May 2026 and December 2027, with uncertain or minimal work anticipated in 2028. The number of required workdays per crew may vary from zero to five days per week. JMT will secure permits related to work performance, while the Subcontractor must obtain any necessary permits to deliver Work Zone Traffic Control equipment to the inspection sites. All applicable provisions of the Prime Contract with NYSDOT apply to the Subcontract, and JMT reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and disregard non-conforming or conditional bids. Proposals must be prepared in accordance with the Bid Documents and submitted in a sealed envelope labeled as required, to the specified address, and received by the stated deadline. Proposals received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Attendance at the bid opening is encouraged but not mandatory. Communication regarding the project must be made through the designated contact until contract approval. Failure to adhere to this communication policy may result in disqualification.
