The Henderson County Fiscal Court is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms for two separate projects: (1) to create lidar imaging and a countywide road sign inventory and replacement plan, and (2) to create, from a furnished listing of Henderson County roads to be widened, a comprehensive list of tree removal, culvert extensions, and utility pole relocations. Interested parties must be pre-qualified with The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Henderson County maintains approximately 375 centerline miles of local roads . The scope of work for this RFPshall include building a sign survey of all regulatory , warning and guide signs in Henderson County's road network ( both existing and required ones ). The actual number of current , missing , and required signs are not known by the County , but will be determined through the work requested by this RFP. Along with the current signs , all roads must be brought up to MUTCD and AASHTO standards for any required , missing , and existing signs . The consultant will develop a sign schedule including sign type , and location (road name and mile point ). Henderson County has the need to obtain Lidar data for all paved county roads not located in subdivision or low speed roads . This mileage is estimated to be 220-230 miles . This information will be used to correct geometric deficiencies . *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
