Provide design-build services for installation of a dedicated cooling source for the recently installed air handling unit serving the MRI suite in the basement of OPC Building 15. Work includes all on-site investigations, engineering, design development, construction drawings, submittals, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, safety, commissioning, and functional performance testing required to deliver a complete and fully operational supplemental air-cooled chilled water system for the MRI suite and associated hallway areas. The scope includes furnishing and installing a new nominal 30-ton air-cooled electric chiller with remote air-cooled condenser, chilled water buffer tank, pumps, expansion tank, chemical treatment assembly, vibration isolation, refrigeration and chilled water piping, valves, controls, and accessories to provide year-round chilled water independent of the general building system. The work also includes installing two automated three-way control valves and associated isolation valves, integrating all equipment and controls with the existing Honeywell Building Automation System, and providing full BAS programming, graphics, alarming, and commissioning. Six new ceiling-mounted chilled water fan coil units shall be furnished and installed in the MRI suite hallways with all associated piping, pumps, condensate collection and discharge systems, electrical power, controls, and insulation. Concrete equipment pads for interior and exterior equipment, fencing, site restoration, electrical power distribution, raceways, grounding, testing, and restoration of affected finishes are included. All work shall comply with VA design guidelines, specifications, safety requirements, infection control procedures, and applicable codes, and shall result in a fully functional, tested, and warrantied system.
