The project consists of a design-build effort for the removal and replacement of finished water storage tanks and associated water treatment systems at Wake Island. The work includes providing all management, labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the project. Existing infrastructure to be removed includes six 300,000-gallon above-grade concrete water storage tanks and two 2,000,000-gallon above-grade steel tanks. These systems will be replaced with three new above-grade concrete finished water storage tanks. The scope also includes the design and construction of all supporting infrastructure required for tank operation, including influent and effluent piping and connections. In addition, the project includes electrical system upgrades necessary to provide adequate and reliable power to support the potable water system. The anticipated construction magnitude exceeds $10,000,000, and the performance period is approximately 1,460 calendar days. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
