Site work for a water / sewer project in Elberton, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Elberton is seeking engineering firms for the development of engineering plans and construction and bid documents for a water main expansion project, which includes replacing and upgrading approximately 7 miles of new water main within city limits. Services required will include preparing a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and providing design, bid, and management services if funding is secured. The project aims to increase the capacity of the City’s water system. Responding firms must be technically qualified, licensed, and experienced in similar water infrastructure projects. Statements of Qualifications must include: firm history and resources; experience with ARC and other DCA grant programs; qualifications of key personnel; current workload; scope and level of proposed service; experience and references from similar projects; fees or percentages for the PER and subsequent services if funded; and errors and omissions insurance. Submissions must be delivered as one hard copy and one digital copy, accompanied by a signed cover letter naming the primary and any sub-consultants. Submissions are due by 5:00 pm EST, May 12, 2026. Late, facsimile, or emailed submittals will not be accepted. All contracts are subject to relevant federal and state provisions. Section 3 businesses are encouraged to apply. As a basic service, the selected engineer or architect will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining Build America Buy America documentation during construction.
