Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Southeast Technical College House Construction Lab. Bidders must refer to the AIA Document A701 'Instruction to Bidders', the AIA Document A201 'General Conditions of the Contract for Construction', the Sioux Falls School District's 'General Specifications For Public Improvement Contracts', and the Sioux Falls School District's 'Special Conditions', all of which are part of the Construction Documents. Bidders can obtain plans and specifications through CADD Engineering Supply or inspect them at the offices of Southeast Technical College, Architecture Incorporated, and various builder exchanges. Addenda will be posted online under the 'Projects Out for Bid' section as they are issued. Each bid must include bid security: a bid bond for 10% of the base bid or a certified/cashier's check or draft for 5% of the base bid, drawn on a State or National Bank, and payable to the Owner. Bid security guarantees contract execution and will be held until the contract is executed. No bidder may withdraw a bid for 30 days after the bid opening without written consent from the Owner. Liquidated damages apply for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities, and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Owner.
