The work consists of removing, disposing of, and replacing damaged limestone on the overhead facade at the UCC ambulance entrance of Building 117. The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, and qualified personnel required to safely remove existing brick and limestone, salvage reusable brick, and install new cut-to-match limestone pieces that match the existing size and color. The work includes protecting surrounding surfaces during removal and installation, proper disposal of unsalvageable materials in accordance with applicable regulations, inspection and verification of new limestone prior to installation, and secure installation in compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes. All salvaged and new materials shall be properly sealed, tied in, and secured to the existing facade to eliminate safety hazards. The contractor must coordinate all activities with the Contracting Officer's Representative to avoid disruption to patient care, perform removal and installation outside normal business hours unless otherwise approved, and complete all work within a 45-calendar-day period. A one-year parts and labor warranty covering defects in workmanship and installation is required. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
