The Design and Construction Management Department at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) requires general contracting services for the interior renovation of Rooms SW227A, SW227B, SW227C, SW239, and SW239A in the Science Wing Building at UTSC. Scope of Work Highlights: Abatement of asbestos containing drywall, clean demolition of doors and clean drywall, removal of existing power and data, modifications and additions to existing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), provision of new flooring, finished drywall, doors and hardware, and lighting, provision of new power and data, and coordination of new furniture installation. All work described in the Drawings and Specifications that would be disruptive to the adjacent occupied spaces due to noise is to be performed between the hours of 5:00 a.m. through to 8:30 a.m. Monday through to Friday. This work includes but is not limited to abatement of drywall, all clean demolition including drywall and existing electrical conduits and back boxes, new metal stud, drywall and t-bar ceiling grid installation, new door frames, and new HVAC rough-in.
