Written questions must include the individual's name, firm name, complete address, and must reference IFPQ No. 10A2862. Questions must be sent to the following email: Email: Wendy.Kwong@dot.ca.gov an estimated value of greater than $5,000.00, but not more than $484,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) General Building Repair and Replacement Services as described herein. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary to repair and replace existing insulation, drywall, plumbing fixtures, and lighting fixtures at four (4) Caltrans Maintenance Stations (MTCE). Contractor shall perform the work in the office buildings and restroom areas of the MTCE. 2. The services shall be performed at the following locations: A. Stockton MTCE - 1604 South B Street, Building 11, Stockton CA 95206 in San Joaquin County B. Midpines MTCE - 6610 Highway 140, Midpines, CA 95345 in Mariposa County C. Stockton Landscape MTCE - 312 South Lincoln Street, Stockton CA 95203 in San Joaquin County D. Woodfords MTCE - 18935 Highway 88, Markleeville, CA 96120 in Alpine County A. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary to repair and replace existing insulation, drywall, and lighting fixtures in the office buildings of four (4) Maintenance Stations (MTCE). 1) Room/Office/Restroom (RR) square footage (sq. ft.) below are approximate: a) Stockton Landscape RR number one (1) and RR number two (2) are approximately nine feet by six feet (9'x6') and 54 sq. ft. b) Stockton Maintenance Station RR number one (1) is approximately seven feet by five feet (7'x5') and 35 sq. ft. and RR number 2 (2) is approximately seven feet by six feet (7'x6') and 42 sq. ft. c) Woodfords Maintenance Station Office Space and RR is approximately 26 feet by 26 feet and 680 sq. ft. d) Midpines Maintenance Station Office Space and RR approximately 20 feet by 34 feet and 680 sq. ft. 2) Contractor shall remove all existing materials from the interior walls and ceiling including the existing light fixture(s). 3) Contractor shall install new furring strips, where needed every 16 inches (16") on center. 4) Contractor shall install wall and ceiling interior spray foam insulation. Foam shall have an "R" value thermal resistance of no less than five (5) per inch of thickness. 5) Contractor shall install new 3/8-inch drywall over the wall and ceiling areas where previous wall and ceiling materials were removed. The new drywall shall be drywall taped, sanded smooth, and a light orange peel texture shall be applied. After texture is dry, the walls shall be prepared for paint. 6) Contractor shall bring forward all electrical outlets, light fixtures and switches using trim rings (where needed) to ensure a flush fit to the new drywall application. 7) Contractor shall remove two (2) old light fixtures at each location and replace them with new L.E.D. tubed fixtures having an output of 100 watts or the equivalent light output (two (2) units spaced evenly and as high as possible four foot (4') in length). B. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary to repair or replace existing plumbing and lighting fixtures in the restroom areas of the four (4) Maintenance Stations (MTCE) 1) Contractor shall remove and replace all fixtures, including the existing light, toilet, sink, mirror, urinal, partition panel and doors (including additional hardware and existing plastic wall panels) with new of like kind. a) Two (2) lights at each location b) Two (2) toilets at each location c) Two (2) sinks at each location d) Two (2) mirrors at each location e) One (1) urinal at each location f) One (1) partition at each location between toilet and urinal. 2) Contractor shall replace existing two (2) plastic wall panels at each location with installation of new green board drywall. Any holes or cracks (not being reused) shall be filled in or covered and sanded prior to mounting any hardware or painting. 3) Contractor shall mount new wall sinks. The sinks shall be a white vitreous China; single drain sink with new p-trap and water supply lines in the same location of the existing sink. 4) Contractor shall install two (2) new gooseneck faucet with individual handles for hot and cold water on the new sink at each location. The fixture shall be low flow style at one and a half (1.5) Gallon Per Minute (GPM) or less. Contractor shall ensure that the finish is chrome, and the water supply lines will be high pressure metal braided. 5) Contractor shall cover all hoses and p-trap (install curved pipe located directly below the drain) with insulation to prevent freezing. 6) Contractor shall mount two (2) new wall liquid hand soap dispenser, next to the sink at each location. Soap dispenser shall be stainless steel or brushed chrome finish and capable of being top filled with liquid. C.
