Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work to be performed consists of, but is not limited to, asphalt paving, milling, patching, striping, traffic loop replacement, and all associated work on various City streets within 120 consecutive calendar days. This includes all labor, materials, and incidentals necessary to complete the project. The preliminary list of streets is included in the bid packet, but the amount of work may increase or decrease and the list is subject to change. The latest GDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction will govern the construction. The City will hire its own testing agency, and GDOT testing specifications section 400.3.06 must be followed. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic control in accordance with GDOT and MUTCD standards is required. Milling materials must be legally disposed. Roads must be paved within 24 hours after milling activities. No parking is allowed within the construction limits. The contractor must adjust water/sewer utilities to grade following Gwinnett County DWR standards (concrete cap). Regular work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with some roads to be performed at night (from 9 PM to 5 AM) as listed on the bid tab. Sealed bids from qualified contractors are required, marked on the outside with the Bid Number, name of Bidder, date, and time of opening. Any bid received after the specified time will not be accepted. Copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained from the City website. All bids are legal and binding upon submission. Bidders are urged to attend the pre-bid conference. Questions regarding bids should be submitted by the specified deadline.
