The work includes widening the intersection at Huntingfield Dr and Teal Lake Rd, as well as construction of a new entrance to Tyronn Lue Park off Green Boulevard. All equipment, materials, and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file with the Public Works Department. A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. Businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, ancestry, or national origin. If the contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility, the bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 days of award of the contract. Missouri Department of Labor Standards regarding payment of Prevailing Wage Rates must be followed. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner's budget. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in their interest. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Public Works Department. Questions received less than 3 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
