Site work for a water / sewer project in Tomball, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a levee.

This project involves setting up a storm water pollution prevention plan prior to any earth moving activities for a site disturbing more than 5 acres, requiring a Notice of Intent under the TCEQ Construction General Permit. The scope includes phased excavation of the existing channel starting from the downstream side near S. Persimmon Street to the elevations shown on the plans, extending a 24" HDPE storm sewer pipe, installing a debris-prevention grate, and placing red valves or approved equivalents on the outlet pipe from the Vasquez - Phoenix Subdivision. The channel must maintain a 0.2% slope from the new storm sewer connection to station 17+50, with the remainder as shown in the plans to Lizzie Lane. Additional work includes installing berms at specified stations to control flow and protect pipelines, constructing spillways with riprap and concrete, supporting two pipelines with concrete supports, installing 10-ft maintenance berms with 3:1 side slopes, and regrading the channel off Lizzie Lane per plans. Contractors are required to furnish and install all materials and appurtenances as specified. In cases of ambiguity, the City of Tomball reserves the right to select construction methods discussed in pre-bid or reject the bid. Bidders must comply with requirements specified for CDBG-funded projects, must be registered and in good standing with SAM.gov, and must submit bids electronically via CivCast.com. A Bid Bond or acceptable check for no less than 5% of the bid is required. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and 1-Year Warranty Bond each in the contract amount, from a responsible Surety company. The City of Tomball may reject any or all bids or waive informalities, and may hold bids for up to 30 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications prior to award. PN - 25-141-001-F190 Question Deadline 04/16/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents must be submitted to the Engineer in writing at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids.
