The work will include the following approximate quantities and items: 150 LF of 8' x 12' cast-in-place concrete pedestrian tunnel with wing walls, 1,000 SY of hot mix asphalt pavement (trail), 500 CY of course trail, crushed aggregate base, common excavation and grading, traffic control and detour, and landscape restoration. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished with the specifications. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the owner equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal or a bid bond of a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. The proposal guarantee is subject to forfeiture as provided by law. When submitting an electronic bid, the original certified check or bid bond must be delivered within 72 hours of bid opening to Cedar Corporation. Bids may be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN vBid online bidding, or by sealed paper copy. Project bid documents must be downloaded from QuestCDN to add the company to the Plan Holder List and allow access to vBid online bidding for submittal. The QuestCDN website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a bid for the project. All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither the Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for documents obtained from other sources. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening.
