The City of McAllen is seeking electronic bids for a one-year service contract, with the option to extend for two additional years in one-year increments, for various types of concrete and sidewalk work. The scope of work includes concrete flatwork construction, concrete paving, and pavement repairs. The contract requires compliance with federal Davis Bacon and other federal requirements. The project is to be financed with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds, and wage rates as established by the Secretary of Labor will apply, including labor classification and wage rates published in the Federal Register. The policy also supports the participation of disadvantaged business enterprises as defined in 49 CFR Part 26. Applicable product categories include construction, maintenance, and repair of sidewalks, driveways, and concrete surfaces. All bid responses must be submitted electronically through the City's bidding portal. Bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope before the electronic bid opening, via hand-delivery, land courier, or mail, as specified.
