The Project consists of the construction of a new CMU and reinforced concrete Tornado Shelter that will double as a half-court basketball gymnasium for the existing Hall-Halsell Elementary school students. The exterior finishes are to be similar to the existing adjacent structures to remain, with split-face CMU wainscot and metal panel wall siding. In addition to the new construction, there are two connector pieces constructed of metal framing and structural steel. Roofing systems consist of both membrane and metal roofing panels. Site improvements include, but are not limited to a new bus lane drop-off/pick-up and new employee parking north of the existing structures. complete the entire project by May 21, 2027.
