The City of Toledo DPS/Facility of Operations is requesting bids to install a new drop ceiling and upgrade lighting to LED at the Highland Park Shelter House. A bid guaranty of 2.5% is required, which can be a cashier’s check/official check or a bid bond. If submitting a check, it needs to be scanned and uploaded, with the original delivered to the Division of Purchases and Supplies by the due date. Bid submittals without a guaranty will be deemed non-responsive. No company or personal checks are accepted. Checks should be made payable to “City of Toledo.” If using a bid bond, a scanned upload is sufficient; the original does not need to be received by the City. City and annual paperwork (such as vendor registration, tax registration, child support affidavit, W-9, certificate of insurance naming the City as additionally insured, worker’s compensation certificate, EEO compliance, debarment certification, and living wage affidavit) only needs to be submitted once per company for all bids in 2026, unless information changes. Upon awarding the contract, a payment bond, performance bond, and PLA (if applicable) will be required. Certified payrolls must be submitted to the City for all labor performed on the project, starting two weeks after the project begins and then weekly thereafter. SCOPE AND SPECIFICATIONS The City of Toledo Department of Public Services and Facility Operations is soliciting bids to install new drop ceiling and upgrade lighting to LED at Highland Park Shelter House. There is existing drop ceiling currently that is older and has been pieced together through damage over the years. We are looking to either install new at a lower height or fix the existing ceiling to all match. In addition, the duct work should be installed correctly with proper diffusers. Lastly, the lighting throughout the first floor needs to be upgraded to LED lighting. There is no preference on LED lighting, other than we would like panels put in over upgraded bulbs.
