Reference Number 0000419890 Project Identification: University of Utah, Building 151, University of Utah James L. Sorensen Molecular Biotechnology Building, Sterilization Remodel; University of Utah Project # 22881. 1. Project Location: 36 South Wasatch Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112 OCM at the University of Utah is replacing their old sterilization equipment with a new tunnel washer and rack washer. The install of the equipment will be done by the equipment vendor Tecnip last. In the first mobilization it will be the responsibility of the contractor to disconnect and demolish the old equipment. The contractor will then prepare the space for Tecniplast to install the equipment. Construction includes the demolition of walls, doors, ceilings, and MEP components. There will be selective slab demolition, including extending the area of an existing pit for the new rack washer. New work will consist of the construction of a new walkable ceiling above the new equipment, refinishing the floors, patching and repairing walls and other finishes, and finishing an existing shelled space. New construction will also include mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. The contractor is responsible for installation of the plumbing, mechanical and electrical connections for the equipment. The selected General Contractor will be responsible for all work required to implement the equipment replacement and create a complete and high-quality, finished facility. Refer to all Specifications and Drawings, including the Bid Package General Notes, Sheet Series General Notes, and the Contractor-Owner Coordination Requirements and Contractor-Vendor Coordination Requirements on the Cover Sheet.
