The Project includes the following Work: Installation of approximately 160 linear feet (LF) of 6-inch diameter water main, 2,700 LF of 8-inch diameter water main, 100 LF of 18-inch casing pipe, gate valves, 500 LF of 1-inch water service pipe and connections, water meter setters, fire hydrants, non-potable crossing, surface restoration, and other miscellaneous work required to complete the Project as shown on the Drawings and as specified in the Technical Specifications. The Work may include one or more additive alternatives, which includes the installation of additional water main, 18-inch casing pipe, gate valves, water service pipe and connections, water meter setters, fire hydrants, surface restoration, and other miscellaneous work. All work within the Washington State Department of Transportation Highway 124 travel lanes shall be completed. Each Bid on the Project must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bonds for the faithful performance of the Contract as prescribed in the Contract Documents. The Owner may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed requirements and may reject for good cause any and all bids upon finding that it is in the public interest to do so.
