The scope of work is to furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation of equipment and labor, and transportation of materials (supplied by the Contractor and/or MLGW), to construct, program, troubleshoot, and maintain MLGW's Distribution Automation Equipment according to current Construction Standards. The work is to be performed in the secondary power space on MLGW's overhead electric distribution system (12kV and 23kV) as directed by the designated MLGW Representative throughout Memphis and Shelby County, TN. All work must be performed in accordance with the requirements of the MLGW Relay Department Foreman or Engineer and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications. Instructions to bidders: - All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated and must complete the required information on the outside of the preprinted Bidder's Envelope (Bidder's Name, license number, expiration date, relevant classification). - Submit all Sealed Bids, Bid Bonds, Bidder's Qualifications, and completed Bid Envelope to the Contracts Management Office by the date and time specified. Allow time for security clearance if delivering in person. - Submit questions regarding the bid in writing via email to the designated address with the contract number in the subject line. - Do not contact any other MLGW staff during the solicitation process. - For bids under $25,000, indicate “Exempt from licensing requirement” in the license number space on the bid envelope, but complete all other required information. - No electronic submissions are accepted; only hard copies are accepted. - Submit Bidder's Qualifications by reference letter as listed in the requirements, indicating contract number and project title on the front page and envelope. - Successful bidders must furnish a Performance Bond and a Contractor's Labor and Materials Payment Bond as specified. - Bidders should read the MLGW Standards of Business Conduct and comply with all local bidding preferences and public records requirements. Bids may not be withdrawn for 120 days after opening and MLGW reserves the right to reject or accept bids at their discretion.
