This project consists of two separate bid packages to be constructed simultaneously: Base Bid #1 (OSLAD Improvements) and Base Bid #2 (RTP Improvements), both located at Proksa Park. Base Bid #1 includes site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control, site removals and clearing, earthwork, utilities, asphalt paving, concrete paving and curbs, cast-in-place concrete footings and foundations, picnic shelter installation, playground installation, engineered wood fiber surfacing, poured-in-place rubber surfacing (Alternate), ADA playground ramp, site furnishings, turf grass seeding, and landscaping plantings. Base Bid #2 includes site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control, site removals and clearing, earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete paving, site furnishings, turf grass seeding, and landscaping plantings. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor's name and address and "Bid for Proksa Park." Bid Security of 10% of the combined Base Bids total is required. The Berwyn Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive technical errors or omissions. The successful bidder must pay not less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids and to be utilized as sub-contractors for the project.
