Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Berwyn, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This project will be constructed under two separate bid packages, Base Bid #2: RTP Improvements. The work in both bid packages will be constructed simultaneously with the intent of awarding a single contract to the lowest, most responsible, and responsive Bidder. Work includes site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control, site removals and clearing, earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete paving, site furnishings, turf grass seeding, and landscaping plantings. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the combined Base Bids total, payable to the Berwyn Park District. The successful Bidder, as determined by the Berwyn Park District shall be required to pay, and agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Berwyn Park District (Cook County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful Contractor and all subcontractors shall be required to submit certified payrolls to the State of Illinois and the Berwyn Park District.
