Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 C.D.B.G Sidewalk Program for the City of Auburn. Bids must be submitted to the Engineering Department, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York. Plans and specifications are available through the City of Auburn's website. Bidders are required to deposit security with their bids, in the amount, form, and conditions specified in the Information for Bidders. Bidders must comply with conditions of employment and prevailing wage rates under the contract. The Owner is exempt from New York State and local sales and use taxes on materials, equipment, and supplies sold or incorporated in the project. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after opening. Question Deadline 04/20/2026 at 11:00 AM ET No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation or information shall be by email and sent to Scott McIntyre, Assistant Civil Engineer at smcintyre@auburnny.gov. All requests for Information (RFI) must be received by 11:00 am, 6 working days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids to be given consideration. The City is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of deteriorated sidewalks and related pedestrian infrastructure at various locations throughout the City. The purpose of this program is to improve pedestrian safety, ensure ADA accessibility compliance, and replace damaged or noncompliant concrete facilities. Work locations are the streets of Augustus Street. The work under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete sidewalk and curb ramp improvements.
