Jackson Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania (the Township) is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Mountain View Drive Bridge Rehabilitation Design and Engineering for professional consulting engineering services. The purpose of the project is to provide design and engineering services for the reconstruction of a singlespan bridge on Mountain View Drive across Reeders Run in Jackson Township, Monroe County, PA. The new bridge will replace the existing deficient bridge and provide access to approximately 30 residential homes which are otherwise landlocked. The scope of services may include the following, as authorized: Design (Conceptual, Preliminary and Final), Engineering, Geotechnical, Preparing Plans and Specifications, Surveying, Environmental Services, Right of Way Acquisition, Construction Phase Services (ex. Submittals, Construction Observation). The Township has secured a Multimodal Transportation Fund ("MTF") grant for highway and bridge projects that will be used for the construction of the bridge rehabilitation. The grant is provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Transportation ("PennDOT"), Planning and Engineering costs will be used as a match from local funds. Therefore, all work must conform to MTF standards and requirements. The selected consultant(s) will have a demonstrated background with MTF projects. The design will be in accordance with policies, procedures, and specifications prepared or approved by PennDOT including relevant PennDOT publications. Consultants shall be responsible for providing quality work, services and products at a fair and reasonable cost. Cost proposals are not to be submitted at this time. The Jackson Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all RFQs, to waive any informalities, and to modify or cancel the solicitation as permitted by law and PennDOT regulations.
