The project involves installation of decorative streetlight poles, luminaries, conduit and wiring needs along FM518 between I-45 and the FM270/FM2094 intersection. This corridor is approximately 13,000 feet in length with new lighting placed on both sides of the street every 200 feet . This project will be split into 2 phases as follows: . Phase 1: Design in FY2026/Construction in FY2028 with a project limit of SH3 to the FM270/FM2094 intersection (7600 feet) with a scope of work to add approximately 63 new streetlights and luminaires. Phase 2: Design in FY2027/Construction in FY2029 with a project limit of I-45 to SH3 (6086 feet) with a scope of work to add approximately 60 new streetlights and luminaires. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
