The work of the Aylmer Lagoon Optimization Project, Intermittent Sand Filter Expansion is located at the operating lagoon facility at 9853 Rogers Road, Malahide ON. The scope of the project generally includes: excavation, grading and installation of sixteen new intermittent sand filter beds at the lagoon site; supply and installation of gravity sanitary sewer and forcemain; construction of granular access road to the ISF expansion location; removal and disposal of existing electrical and mechanical equipment servicing the ISFs; new electrical equipment including incoming power, distribution, MCCs and appurtenances, PLC and controls for both the existing and new ISFs; supply and installation of a pre-engineered fabric storage building; supply and installation of a pre-cast ISF electrical/control building; two new raw sewage pumps; coordination and connection of the new electrical, mechanical and pumping works. The work includes construction and commissioning of the facility as per Section 01 91 13 - Commissioning Requirements and the General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions and Division 01 Contract documentation requirements. The operation of the lagoon facilities must be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Bid submissions are required to be online.
