Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) is seeking quotes from qualified contractors for the comprehensive replacement of the existing septic system at Birds Creek Public School. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: removal and replacement of all septic tanks, asphalt and/or hard packed surfaces, and associated electrical and controls; complete installation of a new leaching bed as per the provided designs, including the possible removal of impacted soils from the existing leaching bed; complete installation of new fencing to surround the septic equipment as per the provided drawings; all required electrical work and connection to building automation to support the new system. Contractors must ensure all work is completed in accordance with the engineered drawings, provincial building codes, and HPEDSB specifications. Further details are provided in the specifications and drawings available on the Bidding System. Bid document access and participation instructions are also provided within the opportunity. Site Walkthrough: Attendance will be taken at the commencement of the meeting and only those in attendance for the full length of the meeting will be eligible to submit quotations. Quotations received from General Contractors not on the list of attendees at the site visit/pre-quotation meeting will not be considered. Sub-trade respondents are also encouraged to attend this meeting as an introduction to the scope of work required by General Contractors. There will be no meeting minutes taken at site meetings by HPEDSB.
