Sealed proposals are requested for scoreboard improvements at Loachapoka High School and Beulah High School for Lee County Schools. All general contractors bidding are required to visit the site and examine all existing conditions prior to submitting a proposal. The project shall be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the architect or copies thereof. A certified check or bid bond payable to Lee County Schools in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, but no more than $10,000, must accompany each sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at contract signing. Bidders exceeding the threshold established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975 and must display their license number on the outside of the sealed envelope. Project PDFs can be viewed and printed from the McKee website by general contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers. Only documents published through this procedure are endorsed by the architect. RFIs and RFAs must be submitted via email using the forms in the project manual; inquiries via telephone or fax will not be accepted. Contractors are responsible for ensuring proper supervision for all work.
