Renovation of an educational facility in Brookwood, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals will be received for the Brookwood High School CTE Reroof in Brookwood, Alabama. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Tuscaloosa County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance are required at the signing of the Contract. Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Architect's office or TuscaBlue and may be obtained via deposit, refundable under stated conditions. Electronic PDF copies are available free of charge. Bid bonds must be issued by a company licensed in the State, guaranteeing that the bidder will not withdraw the bid for sixty days and will enter into a contract if selected. Bids must be on forms furnished by the Architect. Bidders exceeding certain amounts must show evidence of State licensing by displaying their license number on the proposal envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors. All Bidders are invited to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid conference. The bidder's representative attending must have qualifications and experience with the construction to be performed in this project. Nonresident bidders must provide a written legal opinion concerning state preferences for public contracts from an attorney licensed in their domicile state. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: removal and reroofing of designated shingle areas.
