The City of Binghamton seeks a competitive BID for work on or involving Street Lighting and Electrical Systems , billed on a Time & Material basis . DESCRIPTION : A. The successfulbidder will provide skilled labor 43-Needed All work will be performedby Master. Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians who perform electrical work under the general supervision of a Master Electrician licensed by the City of Binghamton, in accordance with municipal Ordinance Chapter 225 , Electrical Standards . B. The successful bidder will comply with the municipal code (above ), which includes all provisions of the New York State Code (2010). All electrical work will conform with provisions ofthe National Electrical Code 2008 ( NEC ) , C. The services provided under the proposed bid will be used to enhance the Operations& Maintenance program(s) of the City of Binghamton and of the Binghamton Johnson City Joint Sewage Treatment Plant (BJCJSTP). Services provided under this bid will not be applied to stand-alone. Capital Projects being advanced by the Department of Public Works . The City of Binghamton will not be responsible in any manner for verbal answers to any inquires regarding the meaning of the specifications which may be given prior to the awarding of the contract . The contract may be renewed annually, for each of the following four consecutive years, upon mutual agreement of both parties and with no change to terms and conditions. Annual adjusted wages in accordance with prevailing wage rates will not be considered a change in terms or conditions for this contract . The Board of Contract & Supply , as the duly formed representative of the City of Binghamton , has the right to reject any or all bids if such action is in the best interest of the City . An irregular or informal bid may also be rejected .
