The contractor is tasked with ensuring compliance with specifications, contract details, and approvals from the Engineer. The primary objective is to minimize or eliminate water pollution resulting from construction activities Bids submitted earlier than ninety-six (96) hours before the Bid Opening will be rejected and returned unopened. Upon receipt at the specified time, all bids will be carefully examined to ensure they are complete and accurate. All construction work and materials provided must adhere strictly to the Contract Documents prepared by Cimarron Valley Engineering, LLC. Each bidder must submit their bid accompanied by a certified or cashier's check from a solvent Oklahoma bank or a Bidder's Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Construction, Maintenance, Statutory, and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required. Bonds must be issued by a Corporate Surety licensed in the State of Oklahoma and acceptable to the Owner. The Owner will retain the bid security of the successful bidder until execution of the contract and receipt of the required bonds. Failure to execute the contract within the time specified may result in forfeiture of the bid security as liquidated damages. Bids must remain valid for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid opening date.
