The City wishes to obtain the services of experienced California Class B contractors to perform construction services related to housing rehabilitation work funded by the City's Housing Rehab Program. Rehabilitation work will be performed primarily on, but is not limited to, owner-occupied detached single family dwellings. Qualified Class B contractors will be placed on a contractor bid list and will receive invitations to bid on rehabilitation projects as they become available. Contractors must organize and coordinate all rehab construction work, installations, and subcontractors, in conjunction with project and contract management and oversight by the Construction Project Manager. Contractors must be capable of compliance with federal and/or state prevailing wage criteria/requirements when applicable. Firms interested in participating and being included on a prequalified contractor bid list need to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) as soon as possible. All SOQs must be signed, dated and submitted in PDF format via email. The SOQ must include the firm's business name, addresses, contact information, company profile, principal contacts, staff size and titles, minority/women business status if applicable, types of construction commonly engaged in, contractor license information, federal/state certifications, Unique Entity ID and DIR number, experience and staffing for prevailing wage labor compliance, evidence of current general liability insurance coverage (minimum $1,000,000 required), evidence of current worker's compensation insurance coverage, and references for construction projects completed within the past 2 years. Contractors must participate in onsite bid walks in order to bid projects and will execute construction contracts with property owners.
