The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids for construction services for the Pedestrian Safety - FRA-SRTS Sunbury/Agler, Capital Improvement Project 590105-100483. The project involves sidewalk installation along the east side of Sunbury Road from Agler Road to the existing sidewalk to the north, and on both the east and west sides of North Cassady Avenue from Agler Road to the existing sidewalks to the north. A shared use path will be installed along the south side of Agler Road from Sunbury Road to the existing shared use path to the east of Agler Road, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, as set forth in this Invitation For Bid. Only pre-qualified prime contractors are eligible to submit bids. The prime contractor must perform no less than 50 percent of the total original price. The SBE Goal for this project is 6%. Bids are to be submitted at www.bidexpress.com. Firms wishing to submit a bid must meet the mandatory requirements stated in the IFB. All bid documents are available for review and download at www.bidexpress.com. Bidders must also have an account with one of Bid Express' surety verification companies: Surety 2000 or Tinubu. Zero and negative unit prices and labor are not allowed. Pre-qualification requirements: Only pre-qualified prime contractors are eligible to submit bids. ODOT Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract.
