Renovation of a water / sewer project in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Prospective suppliers are required to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary for PS6 Electrical Room Rehabilitation for PW-Water Engineering, in accordance with the provided specifications, event line items, and all requested documents. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. Bid Item 1: Mobilization 1. Measurement will be by the Lump Sum. The extended total cost shall not exceed five (5) percent of the total bid. 2. Payment will constitute full compensation for all costs associated with Mobilization and Demobilization. The bid price for this item shall include all costs for: a. Bonds, insurance and permits b. Establishing field offices or temporary facilities c. Moving and removing construction equipment to and from the project site and removal of any items placed on the site by the Contractor. 3. The bid price shall be paid 80% when the project begins, defined as when traffic and erosion controls are implemented, security fences are erected, existing utilities are potholed; and equipment is moved to the site. The remaining 20% shall be paid when the Work is Substantially Complete and Project Record Drawings are received and approved. 4. Costs in excess of 5% of the total bid shall be paid with the Final Payment 5. Necessary coordination with MWW with regard to access to and use of its property during the work. Contractor shall be advised that the work will be performed within a large and active water softening plant. This may require significant accommodation and augmentation to normal procedures and methods to accomplish the work. B. Bid Item 2: Architectural Services 1. Measurement will be by the Lump Sum. 2. Payment will constitute full compensation for all costs associated with the work as shown in the Plans. The bid price for this item shall include cost for, but not limited to: a. Non-load bearing alcove wall and ceiling. b. Partial removal of interior and exterior masonry walls. c. Two interior door replacements with 90-minute rated assemblies. d. One new interior door installation with a 90-minute rated assembly. e. One new exterior door installation with HM insulated assembly. f. Decorative metalwork at new opening in existing masonry wall. C. Bid Item 3: Mechanical and Electrical Services 1. Measurement will be by the Lump Sum. 2. Payment will constitute full compensation for all costs associated with the work as shown in the Plans. The bid price for this item shall include cost for, but not limited to: a. Demolition and replacement of existing steam unit heaters. b. Installation of HVAC equipment, steam and condensate piping, duct work, and associated concrete equipment pads. c. HVAC controls and air side balancing. d. Demolition and modifications to existing electrical and lighting systems to accommodate new work and where necessary to accommodate other trades. e. Extend existing electrical systems to serve new mechanical unit and unit heaters. Provide new circuit breakers and/or unit disconnects where necessary. f. Extend existing lighting circuits and controls to serve new and relocated lighting. g. Extend existing and/or provide new receptacle circuits to serve new receptacle loads.
