Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 19,440-square-foot, five-story above grade, 50-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
The project involves developing 50 supportive housing units at 250 Terminal Avenue North in Nanaimo to be operated by Island Crisis Care Society (non-profit operator). This 5-storey wood-frame development will achieve Step Code 4 and will deliver amenities and support spaces such as commercial kitchen and dining area, lounge and programming space and administrative space for the non-profit operator. In advance of construction, the current temporary supportive housing modular units on-site which will be relocated off-site and existing utility infrastructure on Bryden Street will need to be relocated.
