Seeking a Concrete Contractor to remove and replace sidewalks at the Antrim County Building located at 203 E. Cayuga St. Bellaire, MI 49615. All necessary permits are the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor must be licensed and is responsible for obtaining the permits necessary to complete the work. The bid must include the cost of obtaining such permits and all labor necessary to complete the job. Awarded contractor shall provide a tentative schedule with their bid and a list of subcontractors that will be used on the project. County offices will remain open during the construction period and public access to the building must be maintained. Each bidder is responsible for attending a mandatory pre-bid site visit. Contact to arrange for a site visit is provided. Site visits are available Monday - Friday from the hours of 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 1. Existing sidewalks to be removed and disposed of. (See yellow highlighted areas in Addendum A for sidewalk locations.) 2. Prepare and compact subbase - verify subbase is suitable. 3. Install new 4" thick concrete walks. 4. Concrete shall be fiber reinforced with the minimum specified compressive strength of 4000 psi (28 days). 5. The maximum in-place water to cement (w/c) or water to cementitious ratio (w/cm) shall be .045 or less. 6. Air content shall be designed for a total air content, by volume, of 6.5% +/- 1.5%. 7. Edge concrete perimeter with a maximum radius = 1/2 inch. 8. Apply a broomed texture. 9. Control joints shall be cut. 10. All workmanship and materials shall be according to the current MDOT standard specifications for construction. 11. Ensure proper surface drainage. 12. Contractor must restore and repair any existing conditions disturbed by construction. This is to include buried utilities lighting, landscaping, sprinkling, etc. 13. Any area disturbed by construction to be restored to condition equal to or better than before construction began.
