Central Hudson Gas & Electric is proposing to downrate approximately 1.53 miles of existing 10-inch steel gas main from transmission pressure to distribution pressure and to install approximately 1.99 miles of new 10-inch steel transmission main. The work includes pipeline installation earthwork such as excavation and grading, with minimal permanent wetland impacts and a proposed 2:1 mitigation ratio. The existing transmission pipeline runs along New York State Route 9W, while the new transmission line is proposed within an existing Central Hudson electric corridor located primarily about 500 feet west of Route 9W in the towns of Lloyd and Marlborough, Ulster County, along the Hudson River.
