The Town of Ajax is inviting qualified Road Contractors to pre-qualify for the Rossland Road Reconstruction Project. This multi-year/multi-phase project involves widening Rossland Road from Westney Road to Lake Ridge Road into a four-lane urban cross-section with auxiliary lanes. Key components include multi-use paths, sidewalks, stormwater infrastructure, streetlight, road profile grade raise, intersection upgrades, septic systems, and extensive utility coordination. Phase 1 - Westney Road to Salem Road Phase 2 - Salem Road to Audley Road Phase 3 - Audley Road to west of Lake Ridge Road (Town's limits) with full road closure Phase 4 - West of Lake Ridge Road to 230m east of Lake Ridge Road intersection, and Lake Ridge Road 360m south and 350m north of the Rossland intersection (Region's section) The following is the estimated Construction timeline for the three segments: Phase 1 - Road construction is scheduled from Spring 2027 through Fall 2028.
