Site work for a transportation facility in Springfield, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

Remediation will include grouting (or injection of an alternate material) and reverse graded rock filter, along with repair to the existing drainage feature. Dropout features occurred between the taxiway and runway. Based on limited visual observations, initial estimates of the dropout features range from about 1 foot to about 16 feet in diameter and 2 to 4 feet deep in most areas, but possibly deeper near the center of some dropouts. Instructions to bidders: - Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly labeled with the project name, Contractor's name and address, license number, classification, expiration date, and the date and time of the Bid Opening. Failure to show these items will result in the bid being returned unopened. - Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidders Bond from a surety company acceptable to the Board or a cashiers/certified check payable to the Board for not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. A 100% Contract Bond will be required of the successful Contractor. - All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976 and amendments, and must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6 regarding preparation of the bid envelope. - A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for discussing the scope of the project and answering questions. Attendance by an appropriate Contractor representative is mandatory to be eligible to submit a bid. - Any Bidder may withdraw their proposal by written request prior to the time of opening; otherwise, no bid may be withdrawn for 90 days after opening without Owner's consent. - The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive formalities and informalities, and to accept any proposal in their best interest. Bids which are delivered in advance by any means shall be delivered to the Springfield-Robertson County Airport Terminal Building, 4432 Airport Road Springfield, TN 37172, Attention: Paul Nutting, Chairman.
