Renovation of a recreation facility in La Pointe, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
In general, the work consists of interior and exterior improvements including upgrades to electrical, lighting, and plumbing fixtures; replacement of flooring, casework, restroom partitions, and ceilings; installation of new alcove windows; and complete interior repainting. Exterior work includes new wood siding, replacement of gable siding, installation of gutters, a new wood privacy screen, and replacement of the existing shingled roof with a durable metal roofing system. The scope also includes full replacement of the existing wood beach access stair system with a new structure. All potential bidders must become certified by the Department of Administration prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. All bids received from non-certified contractors will be rejected. Certification applications and instructions can be obtained from the DOA website or upon request from the Division of Facilities Development. Sealed bids may be submitted as PDF scanned files via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred method), by US mail or third-party delivery, or by hand delivery to the designated drop box. The bidder is responsible for ensuring bid delivery before the specified submission time. Third-party delivery is at the bidder's risk. Construction bidding documents are available only as downloadable electronic PDF files from the Division of Facilities Development website or may be available at various Builders' Exchanges.
