Sealed proposals are requested for the following work: Base Bid Item 1, consisting of 24,580 square yards of Asphalt Seal Coat (Double Application) on Teeter Road and Bittle Road; Item 2, consisting of 11,890 square yards of Asphalt Seal Coat (Double Application) on Shirley Lane, Littonian Drive, Kensington Drive, Sutton Court, and Windsor Court; and Item 3, consisting of 36,470 square yards of Asphalt Fog Seal on all roads within Bid Items 1 and 2. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Municipality or Project Engineer. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract within 20 days of award. Liquidated damages apply at $150 per calendar day. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. BASE BID 1. Double Application Asphalt Seal Coat (Teeter Road & Bittle Road): This item will reimburse the Contractor for all labor, material, traffic control, and related work associated with the double application of an Asphalt Seal Coat. The double application shall consist of a single coat of asphalt material, immediately followed by an application of course aggregate (NO. 8 Stone) followed by a second coat of asphalt material, immediately followed by a final application of course aggregate (NO. 8 Stone) on the selected roadway surface. The Asphalt seal coat shall be in accordance with the most recently revised PennDOT publication 408 Section 470. Payment will be on a per square yard (SY) cost basis.
