Renovation of a municipal facility in Drayton Valley, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

1. Existing fire separation curtain is not compliant with the fire code. The purpose of this project is to replace current fire separation curtain: opening dimension of about 121'' x 83'' with a code compliant fire separation/rated door complete with corresponding hardware devices connected to the existing fire alarm system as designed and specified by the consultant. 2. Remove and relocate existing signs to new wall. See attached drawings proposed plan for location details. 3. Test existing flooring, Ceiling and other necessary components around work area for Asbestos and removal/encapsulation where necessary at the start of project before any demo. 4. Removal of existing fire rated rolling drum door with parts and track guides as required from east wing of the building and make ready for new HSS frame - Shangi-La Lodge. See the attached ARCH. Drawing packages (demolition plans for details and specifications for details). 5. Fill in wall and rolling drum pocket to match existing ceiling and walls as indicated on plans. Add new support at ceiling as required. 6. Install new 11/2 hour fire rated sliding door and all structural and hardware required to operate and trigger during fire alarms. Connect automatic door closer to fire alarm panel. See drawings and specifications for details. 7. Clean and patch existing walls / repair affected flooring and replace floor finishes. Coordinate replacements with the HMB to approve replacement samples. Finish to match existing components. 8. Existing ceiling and surrounding mechanical /electrical and structural components not affected by the work must be avoided and protected during installation of new door. 9. Conflicts must be communicated to the consultants for further review before proceeding. 10. Contractor to provide all shops and product alternatives for approval. 11. Contractor to notify consultants of errors prior to final bid. 12. All expenses and office fees to be included. GST not to be included.
