Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has established a contracting opportunity to construct a grade-separated bridge replacing the existing at-grade crossing at Doran Street and San Fernando Road, extending beneath SR-134 and connecting to the Fairmont Avenue Bridge as outlined in the Technical Specification. Upon completion, the at-grade crossing will be permanently closed, improving safety, reducing noise, and maintaining reliable emergency access through a new grade-separated connection integrated with the local street network. The resultant Contract, if awarded, will be federally funded and is subject to fiscal year funding. The following paragraph(s) apply to this procurement: All bidders must possess the proper license at the time of Contract award. A California State Contractor's License Classification A is required of the prime bidder. All subcontractors must possess the appropriate licenses for each specialty subcontracted. Metro reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities to the extent permitted by law in any bid received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest-priced responsive and responsible bidder. This is not an exclusive contract and Metro expressly reserves the right to contract for services and goods such as those referenced herein through other contractors.
