The scope of work includes the construction of a new 200' (nominal) long wharf built on driven H-Piles (500 ton) with a 3' reinforced concrete deck (1,700 CuYd). Other improvements include 3 new sheet pile mooring cells, 18" and 24" concrete pavement (2,030 SqYd), miscellaneous rail work, site work, utilities, renovation of the existing steel sheet pile wharf, and related appurtenances. Renovation work includes steel sheet pile repair (200 ton) and filling voids within the wharf cells with expandable foam (40,000 lb of resin). Quantities are estimated and meant to summarize key components of the work and are subject to change prior to bid. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of planholders maintained by Plan House Printing. For electronic bids, the surety bond must be in electronic format or the hard copy delivered to the owner prior to bid opening. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the bid opening. The contract will be awarded as an entire job, not as individual items. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the site and being familiar with the contract documents. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. All applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations apply.
