Site work for a transportation facility in Houston, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a runway / taxiway.
The proposed project includes site preparation and supporting improvements of approximately 47 acres at the Houston Municipal Airport. Work will consist of clearing and grubbing of both grassed and wooded areas, including stump removal, onsite burning, backfilling and grading. Erosion and sediment control measures, including silt fencing and wattles, will be installed to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize off-site impacts during construction. The project aims to deliver a properly graded and stabilized site that meets applicable standards. Bidders must qualify under Mississippi Law and have a Certificate of Responsibility. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing and whose name appears on the official list of planholders maintained by Plan House Printing. Each bidder must deposit bid security as specified, and successful bidders will be required to execute the standard form of Contract Agreement, together with a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond, within ten days after the formal award of the contract. Bids may be held by the County for up to 60 days for review and qualification checks. The City of Houston reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the Owner.
