Remodeling of a military facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
The project consists of refurbishing and remodeling three existing kitchenettes within Building 1029. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, services, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, investigations, studies, specifications, drawings, and coordination necessary for the design, ordering, and installation of a complete and fully functional project. All work shall be performed in strict compliance with all applicable federal requirements, the State of New Mexico codes as adopted and modified, and Kirtland Air Force Base building codes. Contractors shall review the Statement of Work and all attachments for detailed technical requirements, design criteria, and execution standards. If there questions regarding this solicitation, the site visit or if an offeror believes that there is discrepancies and ambiguities with these instructions, contain an error, omission, ambiguities, or are otherwise unsound, the offeror shall immediately notify the POC in writing with supporting rationale no later than 24 April 2026, , 5:00 PM (MST). Answers to the questions will be posted on SAM.gov by close of business on 1 May 2026. Remodel three break-rooms in Building 1029 at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Work to include demolishing, removing, and replacing cabinetry, flooring, lights, fixtures, sinks, disposals, osmosis systems, ceiling tiles, etc. in their entirety. The Request for Proposal is for Work to include New Cabinetry and Countertops (high visibility, heavy use type) , New Fixtures/Sinks, New Garbage Disposals, New Commercial Tile Flooring/Base Cove, New Acoustic Ceilings/Grid, New Exhaust Fans, New LED Light Fixtures, New Paint, New Osmosis Systems, and remodeling of one kitchenette (Rooms 111 and 112). Work will include relocating electrical switches, outlets, and possibly thermostats. Dust mitigation is always a requirement, so the contractor shall minimize all dust from entering non-work areas during this project. Work shall include phasing each kitchenette to allow one or two kitchenettes to remain operational. Reference Attachments 2 and 3 for locations. 2.1.1. BUILDING 1029, ROOM 111 AND 112 KITCHENETTES (Combine rooms to make one Kitchenette/Break area). o Room 111 - Approximately 11'7" x 6' (70 SQFT) o Room 112 - Approximately 11'7" x 9' (105 SQFT) 2.1.1.1. Create a walk-thru opening into the adjacent room (112). Remove and relocate existing outlets. (One inside Room 111 and one in Room 112). 2.1.1.2. Demolish and remove existing cabinetry, sink, osmosis system, tile flooring, base cove, acoustic ceiling tiles, ceiling fan, ceiling grid and carpet (in Room 112). 2.1.1.3. Cap existing water and sewer line while exposed pending new installation of new sink/fixtures etc. Ensure they are safe and secure during construction. 2.1.1.4. Relocate Room 111 light switch to inside the room to location required by Code. Note, thermostat, outlets and switches shall be relocated where required. 2.1.1.5. Seal opening/entrance to Room 111, install base cove, tape, texture paint to match existing adjacent exterior hallway. 2.1.1.6. Room 111 and 112 shall receive new commercial tile and base cove throughout. 2.1.1.7. Both rooms shall receive new paint throughout. 2.1.1.8. Install ceiling tiles/grid and ceiling fan. 2.1.1.6. Install New Cabinetry/Countertops, and New Sink, Disposal, Osmosis system and ensure proper connection to water/sewer services. o NOTE: Cabinetry should be approximately 11 feet long, standard depth. 2.1.2. BUILDING 1029 ROOM 224 KITCHENETTE o Room 224 - Approximately 11'7" x 7' (81 SQFT) 2.1.2.1. Demolish and remove existing cabinetry, sink, osmosis system, tile flooring, base cove, acoustic ceiling tiles, ceiling fan, ceiling grid (where applicable). Do not touch/disturb gray junction box inside this room. 2.1.2.2. Cap existing water and sewer line while exposed pending new installation of new sink/fixtures etc. Ensure they are safe and secure during construction. 2.1.2.3. Inside Room 224 shall receive new paint throughout. 2.1.2.4. Install new floor tiles, threshold, base cove, ceiling tiles/grid and ceiling fan. 2.1.2.5. Install New Cabinetry/Countertops, and New Sink, Disposal, Osmosis system and ensure proper connection to water/ sewer services. o NOTE: Cabinetry should be approximately 8' feet long, standard depth. 2.1.3. BUILDING 1029 ROOM 401 KITCHENETTE Room 401 - Approximately 5' x 6' (30 SQFT) 2.1.3.1. Demolish and remove existing cabinetry, sink, osmosis system, tile flooring, base cove, acoustic ceiling tiles, ceiling fan, ceiling grid (where applicable). 2.1.3.2. Cap existing water and sewer line while exposed pending new installation of new sink/fixtures etc. Ensure they are safe and secure during construction. 2.1.3.3. Inside Room 401 shall receive new paint throughout 2.1.3.4. Install new floor tiles, threshold, base cove, ceiling tiles/grid and ceiling fan. 2.1.3.5. Install New Cabinetry/Countertops, and New Sink, Disposal, Osmosis system and ensure proper connection to water/sewer services. o NOTE: Cabinetry should be approximately 3' feet long, standard depth
